El primer evento de 2024 se realizará en las oficinas de Idealista (plaza de las Cortes 2, 5ª), quienes generosamente han cedido su espacio.

En esta ocasión, tendremos el placer de contar con una charla más una charla rápida:

• Tim Bonnemann (19:15-19:20), Community Lead en IBM, nos hablará rápidamente de Open-Source Science (OSSci), una iniciativa de NumFOCUS pensada para acelerar la investigación científica a través del código abierto (en inglés).
• Alejandro Sánchez (19:20-19:50), Senior Data Engineer en MasMovil, contará los retos que encontraron para hacer transcripción de llamadas a call center con IA (en español).
• ¿Y para acabar? ¿Charlas rápidas? ¿Una charla de último minuto? ¿Un debate? ¡Escríbenos!

Después de la reunión, nos quedaremos haciendo networking en las oficinas de Idealista.

Recomendaciones generales:

• ¿Sabes mucho de Python y Datos? ¿Sabes poco y quieres saber más? ¡En ambos casos, te damos la bienvenida!
• Aplica "la regla del comecocos": si estás en un círculo, deja siempre un hueco para que otra persona se pueda unir.
• Puede haber asistentes que no hablen bien español y que se manejen mejor en inglés. Sé paciente y ¡no dejes que se aburran!

This time, we will have the pleasure of having one talk and a lightning talk:

• Tim Bonnemann (19:15-19:20), Community Lead at IBM, will tell us quickly about Open-Source Science (OSSci), a NumFOCUS initiative aimed at accelerating scientific research and discovery through better open source in science (in English).
• Alejandro Sánchez (19:20-19:50), Senior Data Engineer at MasMovil, will describe the challenges they faced to transcribe call center calls with AI (in Spanish).
• And to wrap up? Lightning talks? A last minute proposal? A debate? Let us know!

After the meeting, we will stay in the Idealista offices to do some networking.

• Are you an expert in Python and Data? Are you a beginner and you want to learn more? In both cases, you are very welcome!
• Apply the "Pacman rule": if you're in a circle, leave a gap so that someone else can join.
• If you don't speak good Spanish, we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. But be mindful that other attendees might want to use their native language in larger conversations. Use this opportunity to practice your Spanish! If you are bored, feel free approach the organizers and say «Hi!»
