PyData Madrid vuelve en Enero para hablar de Python, Datos, Visualización, Inteligencia Artificial, ¡Y lo que surja!

En esta ocasión se trata de una edición muy especial, organizada conjuntamente con la comunidad de GeoInquietos Madrid (https://geoinquietos.org/grupos/madrid/).

Este mes el evento se realizará en las oficinas de TomTom que generosamente ha cedido su espacio en Calle de Agustin de Foxa 4, 28036 (planta 8).

Importante ⚠️ Necesitamos tu nombre completo y DNI, no olvides introducirlo en el formulario de registro. Usa el campo "razón para asistir" para el DNI.

Tendremos el placer de contar con dos charlas:

• Kiko Martín y Toni Almagro (19:15-19:45), Senior Data Scientist y Staff Data Scientist en TomTom respectivamente, hablarán sobre restaurantes fantasma y como los evita un científico de datos (en español).
• Víctor Olaya (20:00-20:30), Principal Software Engineer en CARTO, nos hablará de cómo realizar análisis geoespacial con Processing, el marco de geoprocesos de QGIS (en español).

Después de la reunión, nos quedaremos haciendo networking en las instalaciones de TomTom.

Recomendaciones generales:

• ¿Sabes mucho de Python y Datos? ¿Sabes poco y quieres saber más? ¡En ambos casos, te damos la bienvenida!
• Aplica "la regla del comecocos": si estás en un círculo, deja siempre un hueco para que otra persona se pueda unir.
• Puede haber asistentes que no hablen bien español y que se manejen mejor en inglés. Sé paciente y ¡No dejes que se aburran!

PyData Madrid returns in January to talk about Python, Data, Visualization, Artificial Intelligence, and whatever else comes up!
This month, the event will take place at TomTom's offices which has generously offered their space at Agustin de Foxa 4, 28036 (8th floor).

Important ⚠️ We need your full name and ID, do not forget to enter it in the registration form. Use the “reason for attending” field for the ID.
This time, we are excited to present these two talks:

• Kiko Martín & Toni Almagro (19:15-19:45), Senior Data Scientist and Staff Data Scientist at TomTom respectively, will talk about ghost kitchens and how a data scientist can help avoid them (in Spanish).
• Víctor Olaya (20:00-20:30), Principal Software Engineer at CARTO, will present how to perform geospatial analysis using Processing, the geoprocessing framework of QGIS (in Spanish).

After the meeting, we will stay for networking at TomTom's facilities.
General recommendations:

• Are you an expert in Python and Data? Are you a beginner and want to learn more? In both cases, you are very welcome!
• Apply the "Pac-man rule": if you're in a circle, leave a gap so that someone else can join.
• If you don't speak good Spanish, we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. But be mindful that other attendees might want to use their native language in larger conversations. Use this opportunity to practice your Spanish! If you are bored, feel free to approach the organizers and say «Hi!»
