How We Built toddle.dev a Visual Programming Platform

How we built toddle.dev a visual programming platform:
- Why build a visual programming platform?
- What were the biggest challenges when building toddle?
- What did toddle teach you about web development in general?

Daniel Phiri

Making Search Type Safe

We talk a lot about type safety for so many applications. Little attention is given to search -- ask a developer and one of the most ubiquitous features implemented is search. How can we make this better?

If you’ve asked or wondered how to make the search experiences you build add to web applications better in function, speed and accuracy then this talk is for you! We’ll dive a little deeper into search, tackling how Typescript helps out with an engaging demo to top it off.

Domenico Gemoli

Fake It Till You Make It (And When You Stop Making It, Just Have a Breakdown) -

Ever hit that point where everything you’ve been faking suddenly stops working? Yeah, me too. What came next? Let’s just say it involved some unexpected career detours, a lot of self-reflection, and maybe a meltdown or two.

In this talk, I’ll share a story that’s part comedy, part cautionary tale—what happens when you realize the path you’ve been on might not be the one you actually care about. If you’re in tech, feeling stuck, or wondering why your career doesn’t feel as fulfilling as it should, you’re not alone.

Let’s explore the fine line between ambition and burnout, and how sometimes the best thing you can do is just stop pretending.
