🌅 We talk to our old friend, Peter Kieltyka from Horizon Games!
He has an inventor's mind, where his curiousity with technologies breeds innovation and pushes the industry forward. From hosting the Toronto Ruby community way back in 2009 to hosting the Go community and releasing open source libraries, it's part of Peter's DNA to think outside the box 🧠
Today he's the CEO of Horizon Games, where the team are working on open source blockchain infrastructure (Sequence) as well as Skyweaver Game on top of that. When he had the idea for this in 2017, most (including Taz) didn't quite realize the direction he was going. Thanks to his dedication to the community, he met folks that understood his concept and enabled him to follow his vision ✨

Taz chats with him while attending the React Miami conference, where Lee spoke about the latest improvements to the Vercel platform. We chat with him about that, growing up in Iowa, videography & photography, and how he’s combined all of those passions for developer relations as Vercel has grown from 34 employees to over 300 today.

❤️ In this episode, we have With Heart (Mark) from Developer DAO!
We talk to him about the DAO itself - what it is, how it works, and why it exists. It's such a new mechanism for communities, that it's intriguing how it operates, and Mark is a key part of its enablement 🙌🏽
But it's not all roses. Mark has struggled with ADHD and depression, putting him in a downwards spiral and "going through hell". Thankfully, the community was there for him and lifted him into becoming a software developer, which has been life changing and encouraging towards helping others in the community 🫶
