Ready to join in on the fun?

Join Rizel Scarlett for the first day of a two-day journey into mastering goose, the open-source AI agent that will transform how you work and automate workflows.

AI agents are changing how software gets built. Teams now want engineers who can work with AI agents, design repeatable workflows, and ship faster. In this hands-on session, you'll use goose, an open-source, LLM-agnostic, MCP-native AI agent, to build real projects while stepping into the role of the Winter Festival's newly hired AI Engineer.

What You'll Learn - Day 1

In this first session, you'll:

  • Get hands-on with goose fundamentals and basic commands
  • Rescue a fortune teller using CLI automation
  • Learn foundational agentic patterns for workflow automation
  • Build your first automated workflows from scratch

This is not a prompt-writing class. You'll learn how to orchestrate agents and design usable context that you can apply across tools, not just goose.

About the Instructor

Rizel Scarlett is driven by a singular mission: ensuring powerful technology feels human, joyful, and real. As the Tech Lead for Open Source Developer Relations at Block, she drives technical storytelling for goose, an open source AI agent. Previously at GitHub, she helped developers understand and adopt GitHub Copilot, using storytelling to make AI and developer tools feel more approachable. Outside of work, she unwinds by watching reality TV, annoying her husband for fun, and navigating the chaos and joy of first-time motherhood.
