The Bitcoin Lightning Network is a Layer 2 Network on top of bitcoin that allows instantaneous micro transactions using a network of state channels.
Nostr, an acronym which stands for Nostr and Other Stuff Transmitted via Relays, is a decentralized social media protocol that treats its users as sovereign individuals. Not your keys not your crypto applies just as much to Nostr as it does to Bitcoin and Crypto.
Nostr is especially interesting because of the "Stuff". It's easily extensible so that people can recreate the medium of whatever platform they want.
